About Us

Rangatira Ward is an acute general medical paediatric ward caring for children aged 0 - 15 years with a range of short and long-term illnesses and disabilities. We are a close-knit team, committed to providing quality whānau centred care. We work closely with the Children’s Community Nurse Specialist team, Paediatric Outpatient services, Primary and Public health providers and Emergency Care Centres.

Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area.

About you

Our ideal applicant will have at least 12 months of paediatric nursing experience, and be committed to providing outstanding care for tamariki and whānau from the Waitematā catchment area. Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current annual practicing certificate are required.
