Job Summary

Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, home care, assisted living, and nursing homes.
- Administer medications accurately following established protocols and medical orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and document observations thoroughly in electronic health records using systems like Epic and Cerner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
- Perform specialized procedures such as phlebotomy, pain management interventions, and dementia or senior care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, medication usage, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards, laboratory procedures, and safety regulations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Extensive hospital experience with acute care environments.
- Strong background in pain management, case management, and pediatrics.
- Experience working with children, seniors, dementia patients, or in assisted living facilities.
- Skilled in medication administration, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office operations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
