Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, home care, assisted living, and nursing homes.
• Administer medications accurately following established protocols and medical orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and document observations thoroughly in electronic health records using systems like Epic and Cerner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
• Perform specialized procedures such as phlebotomy, pain management interventions, and dementia or senior care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, medication usage, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards, laboratory procedures, and safety regulations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
• Extensive hospital experience with acute care environments.
• Strong background in pain management, case management, and pediatrics.
• Experience working with children, seniors, dementia patients, or in assisted living facilities.
• Skilled in medication administration, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office operations.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients.
• Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
