Our Organisation:

Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

About the role:

Based at Middlemore Hospital, we are looking for a Registered Nurse for our Cardiology ward, Ward 2. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional health services while developing your skills alongside experienced professionals.

You will need to be:

  • Be patient focused and provide an excellent standard of nursing care
  • Be a good communicator and a team player
  • Be able to prove active maintenance of your personal professional development

Salaries are based on the NZNO Collective Agreement Registered Nurse Scale

Essential requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current NCNZ Annual Practising Certificate
  • 1+ years recent acute post registration experience in a relevant clinical environment in NZ
  • Cardiology nursing experience
  • Willingness to learn
  • A passion for improving nursing practice and standards of care
