Summary/Objective

The Regulatory Affairs & Graphic Design Specialist must have a strong focus on graphic design and play a key role in supporting compliance and branding initiatives across our agricultural product portfolio. This position ensures all labels, packaging, and marketing materials meet federal, state, and international regulatory requirements while maintaining strong visual and brand integrity. The ideal candidate blends a keen eye for design with a deep understanding of agricultural regulatory processes.


The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will report to the Global Director of Regulatory Affairs. This position is located in our Springfield, IL office.


Essential Functions


Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and submit product registration documents, label revisions, and regulatory filings to federal (EPA), state, and international authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agricultural regulatory requirements, including FIFRA, EPA labeling, and other global standards.
  • Ensure that all product labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and marketing claims comply with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and support product approvals.

Labeling & Artwork Development

  • Design and edit product labels, packaging, and technical inserts using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent design tools.
  • Manage version control, regulatory review, and approval workflows for product artwork across multiple regions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to ensure all artwork aligns with brand guidelines while meeting regulatory standards.
  • Maintain an organized database of current and historical label files for all registered products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a bridge between Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Production to ensure accurate and compliant communication on product materials.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on claims, product naming, and technical content for promotional materials.
  • Support global teams by providing artwork and documentation needed for international submissions and local regulatory compliance.

Required Competencies

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate data.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain complete records.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Capacity to handle confidential, time-sensitive information.

Supervisory Responsibility

Not applicable to this position.


Work Environment

Professional office environment. This position requires competency in using standard office equipment and software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel.


Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.


Travel

This position requires minimal travel, some travel for group meetings one or two times per year.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Regulatory Affairs, Biology, Chemistry, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, labeling, or compliance within the agricultural industry (crop protection, fertilizer, biologicals, adjuvants, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or comparable graphic design software.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and state regulatory labeling requirements (FIFRA, 40 CFR Part 156, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time-management abilities with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Range: $60K - 75K per year
