The Panel Wiring Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical panels for various industrial, commercial, or residential applications. The ideal candidate should have experience with electrical components, wiring diagrams, and panel assembly processes. Attention to detail, safety, and quality control are critical for ensuring successful and reliable electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Panel Assembly: Assemble electrical panels according to design specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • Wiring: Perform electrical wiring for the panels, including connections to breakers, terminals, and other components based on schematics.
  • Testing: Conduct thorough testing of electrical panels to ensure proper functionality, identifying and troubleshooting any issues during the process.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including wiring diagrams, test reports, and assembly procedures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all panels meet safety and quality standards, including compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations.
  • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines while working with electrical systems and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for electrical panels as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to address any challenges and improve panel designs and workflows.
  • Component Management: Ensure proper inventory management and sourcing of electrical components, including terminals, wires, and other accessories.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes and standards during all assembly and installation activities.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or similar electrical work.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with various electrical components such as transformers, contactors, circuit breakers, relays, and fuses.
