At Evotec’s site in Göttingen, Germany, the Bioinformatics department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Research Associate Bioinformatics (all genders)

Full time and permanent

Responsibilities:

Process and analyze omics screening data
Participate in development of workflows and apps for automated summarization and interactive exploration of large-scale screening data
Participate in improving data processing and analysis capabilities by optimizing existing and developing new workflows
Support interdisciplinary project teams in various research areas with bioinformatics expertise
Collaborate efficiently with other scientists within the company

Qualifications:

Master’s degree with several years of relevant professional experience or PhD in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related discipline
Deep understanding of Bioinformatics methods and tools within the context of compound screens and omics data analysis
Strong programming skills in at least one programming language
Experience in software implementation of bioinformatics methods and pipelines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both in team and independently in a fast-paced work environment
Fluency in written and spoken English
Experience with R and shiny is a significant plus
Experience in working with Linux systems is of advantage
Understanding of drug discovery process is a significant plus
