Vada is a busy neighbourhood restaurant in Stoneybatter, Dublin, deeply committed to excellent food & wine, zero-waste practices, and celebrating the freshest local and seasonal produce. We pride ourselves on crafting delicious, food and drinks, including our wine menu, all while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our community.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Full-Time Restaurant Manager to lead our passionate team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who not only possesses strong leadership skills and a naturally positive, customer-focused attitude, but also shares our genuine interest in food service and local food sourcing. You will be instrumental in ensuring Vada continues to deliver exceptional experiences and uphold its core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Inspire, motivate, and manage a strong team of restaurant staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Lead by example, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Customer Experience Excellence:
- Cultivate a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers, ensuring every visit is enjoyable.
- Proactively engage with the public, building rapport and addressing feedback with a natural, positive attitude.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food, wine, and service.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste reduction in line with sustainability goals..
- Menu & Quality Control:
- Ensure all food and drink preparation meets Vada's high standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate on menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas.
- Marketing & Social Media Support:
- Assist with the creation of engaging social media content, capturing the essence of Vada's unique offerings and atmosphere.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation, wine serving and general cafe operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Working Hours:
- This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.
- Our restaurant operates Wednesday through Sunday, and you will be required to work these days / nights
- With the introduction of dinners, evening work will also be required.
