Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. You will play a key role in managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining store standards to create a welcoming shopping environment for our customers.
Duties
- Assist in the management of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and train staff on best practices in customer service, merchandising, and sales techniques.
- Conduct employee orientation and onboarding for new hires.
- Participate in recruiting efforts, including interviewing candidates and evaluating their fit for the team.
- Oversee payroll processes and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and conducting regular inventory audits.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and financial transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment that enhances the customer experience.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of retail management experience along with strong leadership skills. Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager.
- Strong background in retail sales with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math.
- Experience in training & development of team members.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Base Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
