The Opportunity:
As Programme Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of SEAI supported retrofit programmes including One Stop Shop & Warmer Homes Scheme projects across Ireland. You will lead multi-measure residential energy upgrade projects including solar PV, heat pumps, insulation, windows and doors.
Your role will be critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, in compliance with SEAI standards, and with the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to lead and build our Deep Retrofit division. This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the programme, including operational delivery, process development, stakeholder engagement, and team growth. The successful candidate will work closely with SEAI and internal teams and contractors to ensure high-quality execution of retrofit projects and contribute to Activ8’s long-term vision.
Responsibilities include:
- Own and lead the Deep Retrofit programme from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with SEAI standards and Activ8’s strategic goals.
- Act as the primary liaison with SEAI for the One Stop Shop and Warmer Homes Scheme, ensuring compliance, reporting, and collaboration.
- Design and implement scalable processes and systems to support efficient delivery and growth of the division.
- Collaborate with internal departments to build a high-performing team and culture within the Deep Retrofit division.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards across multiple retrofit projects.
- Ensure all works meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Prepare and submit reports to SEAI and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the division, identifying opportunities for innovation, partnerships, and expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, KPI tracking, and process optimisation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retrofit works, preferably in residential or community energy upgrade programmes.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical/ electrical engineering, construction management, energy engineering, project management or trade background.
- Proven track record in programme or project management, ideally within the energy efficiency, retrofit or construction sector.
- Strong understanding of SEAI schemes, building regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in process design and operational scaling is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency upgrade measures (insulation, heat pumps, solar PV, windows/doors).
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with Irish building regulations, SEAI retrofit standards, and health & safety legislation.
- Proficiency with project management tools and reporting software.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel across Ireland.
