The Role
We’re looking for an accomplished Risk Manager to lead our business units in the identification and management of risk and ensure delivery of Line 1 Risk and Compliance activities, with a key focus on the integration and uplift of CPS 230 activities – risk management, business continuity and service provider management.
What you’ll do:
- Enhance operational risk processes, controls and frameworks to enable the business to continually meet the requirements of CPS 230.
- Contribute to existing governance arrangements of operational risk between the Board, management and L1 risk, to ensure end-to-end responsibility for operational risk is embedded throughout the fund.
- Improve and update business continuity plans including identifying critical operations through the CPS 230 lens, ensuring appropriate tolerance levels are achievable, and are tested through plausible and effective scenarios.
- Improve business maturity and capability of service provider performance in alignment with the Fund’s Service Provider Management Policy and APRA Prudential Standard CPS 230, and to manage BAU Line 1 Risk activity to support the fund’s operational resilience.
- Act as the first line of defence for risk supporting a strong risk and control environment and risk-aware culture.
- Work closely with Line 2 Risk & Compliance to ensure accurate and timely reporting and escalation of operational risks.
A seasoned Risk professional ideally with a background in Superannuation or other APRA regulated environments, you will bring the following key skills:
- A solid understanding of regulatory guidance, including CPS 230, SPS220, and CPS 234, as well as understanding of best practice risk management processes to support Line 1 business functions.
- Experience in providing expert risk and compliance advice, while being able to deal with a range of priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience in facilitating risk assessments (delivery and delivered), executing control testing, policy reviews, and other strategic/regulatory reviews.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management skills with ability to partner with diverse business areas to support the management of key business risks.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage competing priorities, and find and recommend solutions.
- Change Management and experience through a risk lens: understanding of how to ensure a change is implemented and embedded, including the identification and management of risks.
- Use of AI to improve efficiency across work activity.
- Knowledge or experience of implementation of continuous improvement programs and process solutions.
We are a super fund that has an exceptional work culture, provides a diverse offering in developing our people and you can be a part of it while earning an attractive remuneration package!
Interested and suitably qualified candidates should submit a copy of their updated CV.
Please note that to be eligible for this role, you are required to have permanent Australian working rights and residency.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a workplace that values diversity, equity, and respect for all individuals.
