The Luxembourg Stock Exchange is looking for a:

Risk Officer

Permanent contract (F/M)


We are seeking for a skilled and proactive Risk Officer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Risk Management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing LuxSE’s risk management framework by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

  • Risk identification and assessment: conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to LuxSE’s operations, finances, regulatory compliance and reputation

  • Risk mitigation and controls: develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, policies, and controls to reduce exposure

  • Regulatory compliance: ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, laws, and internal policies (e.g. IML 98/143; CSSF 20/750; CSSF 22/806; DORA)

  • Incident and crisis management: support LuxSE in responding to risk events, conducting investigations, and following-up on corrective actions

  • Reporting and documentation: prepare detailed risk reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies

  • Stakeholder engagement: work closely with internal departments to perform and ensure their involvement in LuxSE’s risk management framework (e.g. RCSA, project risk assessments, third-party service provider monitoring)

  • Training and awareness: conduct training sessions and workshops on risk management methodologies and best practices

  • Monitoring and audits: assist in internal audits, control testing, and continuous improvement of the risk management framework

Education and experience

  • Master’s degree in finance, audit or risk management

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Technical competencies

  • Understanding of financial markets

  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies

  • A background or previous experience in ICT governance, auditing or risk management would be considered as a significant advantage

Soft skills competencies

  • Capacity to work autonomously

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Team-oriented person

Language skills

  • Full professional proficiency in English and/or French, any other language is an asset
