Job Overview
Join our dynamic Roofing Team as a Laborer and be a vital part of keeping our community dry and safe! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and develop valuable skills in the construction industry. As a Construction/Roofing Laborer, you will assist skilled tradespeople by performing physically demanding tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining a productive, efficient, and positive work environment. This position designed for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the construction and roofing field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site preparation including clearing debris, setting up ladders and scaffolding, and organizing materials
  • Carry, lift, and move construction materials such as roofing materials, lumber, and tools safely and efficiently. This includes up and down staging and ladders
  • Support skilled tradespeople by holding materials in place, retrieving necessary tools and supplies, or operating basic tools under supervision
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
  • Help with loading and unloading supplies from trucks or storage areas
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning

Skills

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor tasks throughout the day
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures accurately
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for team success
  • Prior experience in construction or related manual labor roles is a plus but not mandatory
  • Valid U.S. Drivers license
  • Ability to perform basic reading and writing tasks as it relates to daily job paperwork, timesheets, etc.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs with reasonable accommodation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
