Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Safety Officer for our residential civil construction project in Mumbai, with a project tenure of approximately 2 to 3 years. The selected candidate must have 5–8 years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) functions within civil construction projects. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, site safety supervision, and fostering a strong safety culture at the project site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements (Factories Act, BOCW Act, IS codes, MOEF guidelines, etc.).
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and hazard identifications with effective follow-up for corrective actions.
• Carry out daily tool-box talks, safety inductions for new workers, and periodic safety training for all levels of site personnel.
• Ensure availability and proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor contractor safety performance.
• Maintain statutory documentation such as safety registers, incident reports, inspection checklists, and compliance records.
• Assist in risk assessments and preparation of method statements for high-risk activities (height work, lifting operations, excavation, etc.).
• Lead or assist in accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to meet project-specific EHS requirements.
• Liaise with client safety teams, consultants, and authorities as needed for audits and inspections.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering with an
• Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
• (Recognized by MSBTE or equivalent board).
• Experience:

5–8 years of hands-on EHS experience in civil construction projects, especially residential or high-rise buildings.

• Key Skills Required:
• Strong understanding of civil site hazards and mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with national and state-level HSE legislation and construction codes
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to handle on-site emergencies and safety drill
• Work Environment & Conditions:
• Project location: Mumbai (site-based role)

• 6 days/week site operations
• Extended hours may be required based on project stage or emergenciesSalary Range:

₹20,000 – ₹30,000/month (based on experience and qualifications)
