THIS IS CANNABIS is a chain of licensed recreational cannabis retail stores whose mission is to provide a premium retail experience to the customers we serve using a highly informative, friendly, and professional approach. THIS IS CANNABIS is looking for candidates to join our retail family in our new Abbotsford location who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and education on the licensed cannabis retail community.

THIS IS CANNABIS has three operating locations and is a market leader in the Fraser Valley and Whistler regions focused on growth and development of the company and its team.

THIS IS CANNABIS is currently seeking a full-time Budtender for our new Abbotsford location who will be responsible for guiding customers to find the ideal product for the exact experience they are looking for.

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledge of licensed cannabis retail products is a huge asset

Completion of Selling It Right is a huge asset

• You have strong customer service skills
• You have a positive attitude and are a team player
• You have demonstrated sales experience
• You have knowledge of POS systems
• You have strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and customer service excellence that is focused on educating customers on all cannabis products and accessories we carry
• Deliver a comfortable and professional shopping experience
• Ensure the store is clean and organized
• Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of self, team members and customers
• Ensure the proper execution of standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of each product within the complete range of new and current products available for purchase
• Use of a point of sale (POS) system in a retail setting
• Deliver product to customers who make online purchases using a company vehicle
• Comply with the cannabis industry regulations
• Diffuse difficult situations with customers as required
• Other duties as required

Terms of Employment

• Must be at least 19 years old
• Available positions for full-time
• Successful applicants must complete “Selling it Right” through the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch if they have not already
• Store hours are 9am-11pm every day so applicants must be able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
