Sales Consultant - Utilities

We are hiring immediately for Sales Consultant - Utilities role that will help us to power progress for our customers

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to grow our expanding customer base in Auckland of NZ. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will manage key accounts and co-ordinate sales activities within the Utilities space of Aggreko’s customers to achieve sales revenue budgets and sales objectives for assigned territories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Look for new business in Auckland and Northland of New Zealand.
  • Identify, establish and manage existing and new major key account business opportunities in the surrounding areas.
  • Manage and grow revenue in key accounts, by becoming an integral part of the key accounts business.
  • Deliver key presentations for major opportunities to existing and potential Aggreko customers.
  • Maintain market awareness for opportunities, major projects, market trends, new products and competitor activity.
  • Responsible with the Area Sales Manager to manage price strategy and controls to maximise rental and recovery rates.
  • Drive and co-ordinate sales and marketing campaigns throughout the area.
  • Provide weekly revenue forecasts and monthly reports to the Area Sales Manager.


You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Able to travel extensively throughout the region as required.
  • Self-motivated and commercially mature.
  • A proven track record in Key Account Management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing large accounts.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and TC is considered an asset
    Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to liaise, develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of the sales process.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
