The Hilton Toronto/Markham is a four-diamond, full service property seeking a vibrant and dedicated Sales Coordinator. What are we looking for?
- Conduct research, telemarketing and recording of prospective accounts for new business development as a support to Sales Managers.
- Conducts site inspections for walk in guests as necessary.
- Answer and respond efficiently to all incoming telephone/Fax/Email inquiries for Groups, qualifying and distributing to appropriate managers as dictated by market segment divisions and job responsibilities.
- Manipulate data from Delphi, mailing lists Directories and other sources to provide qualified sources for Sales Managers to solicit to.
- To assist in maintaining the integrity of Accounts within Delphi to better yield working reports for sales efforts.
- To support and set up for each Manager, outside sales call appointments when required.
- Assists in analysis of current and potential market/trends, coordinate all activities to maintain and increase revenue through added business volume and increased rates.
- Ability to check and block meeting space and guestrooms in absence of Sales Managers for small meeting/group inquiries.
- Responsible for typing and distribution of all sales proposals, contracts, correspondence and memos for assigned Sales Managers including but not limited to SMERF, Association, and Corporate Sales Managers as needed.
- When requested, provide administrative support to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Sales Managers handling duties including any of the following tasks; filing, photocopying, faxing, making group files, prepare & post mail, distribute information in-house as related to file turnover or client needs; i.e. contracts, credit applications, memos, e-mails, daily and weekly reports as required, etc.
- Coordinate ready showrooms with Front Desk (daily).
- Assist with the organization of special sales presentations using Virtual Visit or PowerPoint to Hilton standards as well as preparing presentation folders for clients, preparation of brochures, collateral for tradeshows.
- Assist Sales Managers with Rooming Lists and Group Reference Checks.
- Co-ordinate and prepare mailings i.e.: annual corporate rate letters, client invitations.
- Attend Sales Meetings and record minutes.
- Create and maintain a personal image of professionalism to guests, clients and staff.
- Perform duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager.

In addition, we are looking for:
- Computer literacy at intermediate to advanced level is mandatory with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Delphi, and OnQ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible to meet and exceed the expectations of both our internal and external guests
- Previous Sales or Administration experience and Hotel experience an asset
- Able to manage people with courtesy, efficiency and friendliness
- Maintain a flexible schedule and work late as required
- Must be a strong team player, professional and enthusiastic with excellent organizational skills, creativity and be a self starter
- Proven ability to multitask with a positive attitude in a demanding and challenging environment
- Proven ability to independently prioritize job tasks and guest needs in the absence of the Sales Manager for extended periods of time
- Posses the mindset to do what it takes to get the job done

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,000.00-$51,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Hotel: 1 year (preferred)
