Job Description:
Play It Again Sports is seeking enthusiastic and sports minded individuals to join our team! We are looking for a Sales Floor Manager who will assist in managing and promoting all aspects of the business; including but not limited to buying, pricing, sales, merchandising, loss prevention, training and leading our staff. This individual will promote a high level of customer service and continually strive for innovative solutions and alternatives in bettering the business.
Our Sales Floor Managers are hands-on managers, working side by side with the team strengthening teamwork and customer service, creating an amazing visit for every customer. We are seeking a Sales Floor Manager with a can-do attitude and the ability to lead a great team in a fast-paced environment.
As a Sales Floor Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead assigned shifts, ensuring that customers are greeted immediately, their needs are determined, and all transactions and customer interactions are handled in a professional and enthusiastic manner by you and the staff.
- Follow and enforce all store policies and procedures.
- Opening and closing responsibilities, including but not limited to: key holder, closing doors, locking and arming the store, and cash handling responsibilities.
- Become familiar with products, brands and prices. Stay up to date on the latest sports trends and regulations. Make recommendations of products including features and benefits to suit customers’ needs. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to close the sale.
- Buy used products. Clean, price and ticket items based on pricing and buying guidelines. Restock store following merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures.
- Develop proficiency in operating POS systems for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.
- Lead staff by working side by side with the team managing projects, delegating tasks, providing feedback, coaching and developing the staff to strengthen teamwork and customer service, to create an amazing visit for every customer.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills towards growth and promotion to future opportunities.
- Recognize talented staff and develop them for future growth within the business.
- Report to Store Owner.
- Full Time Hourly Position - 40+ Hours per week.
As the Sales Floor Manager you will receive:
- Hourly pay - Starting wage up to $20.00+/hour based on experience.

Qualifications:
- Prior retail and/ or customer service experience with proven leadership skills.
- Sales and goal oriented.
- Previous experience directing people.
- Ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Excellent communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills is a must.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking ability with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work well as a team member, accept constructive feedback, and follow directions.
- Reliable transportation.
- Full Time - Able to work 40+ hours per week.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to lift and/or push up to 40 lbs. Without assistance. May involve heavier lifting with assistance of another team member or cart/dolly.
- Bending, rotating and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise.
- Exposure to typical retail environment conditions and noise levels.
- Able to operate a computerized sales terminal with training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
