Position Overview:

SCV Waste Solutions is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Scale Attendant / Site Attendant to join our team. Based out of our Summerland location, this position plays an important role in supporting recycling operations, assisting members of the public with material drop-offs, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend the recycling area and assist the public with proper sorting and disposal of materials.
• Direct the public to the correct drop-off locations.
• Serve as a Relief Scale Attendant as needed.
• Help maintain overall site cleanliness and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding operational issues.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or operational roles preferred.
• Availability to work on a weekend schedule as part of a 7-day operational team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform site maintenance and recycling tasks as required.
• Flexibility to cover relief shifts in the scale shack or other site duties.
