Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing clients, ensuring efficient scheduling processes, and providing exceptional administrative support within a medical office environment. This position requires strong communication skills and proficiency in various medical software systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate client care efficiently, ensuring optimal scheduling for clients and caregivers.
- Verify insurance information and handle medical billing inquiries to facilitate smooth patient experiences.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure proper filing of patient information.
- Provide clerical support including answering multi-line phone systems, responding to inquiries, and assisting with front desk operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding care plans, coordination with healthcare providers, and providing emotional and social support.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient flow and enhance service delivery.
- Must be able work an open shift as two days will be guaranteed in the office and scheduler will serve as a fill in floater when necessary to provide care to clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with familiarity in medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills are essential for documentation tasks. .
- Experience in medical administrative support roles including intake processes, insurance verification, and patient service is beneficial.
