This part time position is for a minimum of 16-22.5 hours a week, 38 weeks of the year, working term time. Hours of work available are 1.30/2.00pm to 6pm Tuesday to Friday or Monday- Friday with an option of working additional hours between 7.30-9am in our breakfast club if desired.

**Please note, our service is not on any public transport route, so your own transport is essential for the position.**

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Be Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all children in your care.
• Creating a play based fun curriculum for afterschool children based on their emerging interests.
• Helping the afterschool children with their homework.
• Observing the children and documenting their journey through afterschool.
• Have a working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta and use it in daily practice.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Minimum Criteria:

• QQI Level 5 or above in Childcare preferred but not essential, shortlisting may apply.
• First Aid and Child Protection training desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an early years or school age setting desirable.
• Excellent references and garda vetting required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €15.00-€17.50 per year

Expected hours: 16 – 22.5 per week
