The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is looking for a motivated Security Advisor to join the Global Security team. Applicants should have demonstrated experience in supporting and maintaining protective security in a Defence or Defence Industry role.
This role will be based at RAAF Base Williamtown.
As a Security Advisor, you will:
- Support BDA and its customers in the day-to-day operations and support program security requirements, responsibilities and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and Boeing staff.
- Manage daily and reactive security administrative tasks set by the Program and Function.
- Support the management of Boeing assets and facilities.
- Deliver Security briefings and training sessions regularly; and
- Support Emergency Management activities within Williamtown.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working as a Defence security specialist in a Defence Industry contractor or with the Australian Department of Defence is preferred but not essential
- General understanding of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), ASIO Tech Notes, and security practices and procedures relating to high security locations and programs
- Understanding of Australian Government Classified Information management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with leadership, the customer and employees
- Current Defence Security Officer Course, or the ability to quickly attain; and
- A minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain NV2.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
