The Role

As our Security Analyst, you'll help protect NGS Super's systems, data and technology platforms from evolving cyber threats.

Reporting to the Head of Information Security, you'll work closely with technology teams and external partners to support day-to-day security operations, monitor risks and contribute to initiatives that strengthen our overall security posture. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of security disciplines including cloud security, incident response, security monitoring, automation and emerging technologies such as AI.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their cybersecurity career who is eager to learn, develop technical skills and build hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Head of Information Security, you'll:
Build, configure, and continuously improve technical security controls across cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP), focusing on identity, network security, workload protection, and data security
Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and AI/ML systems, including model security, data protection, and secure API design
Develop and tune detection use cases across SIEM/XDR and cloud-native tooling to identify threats, anomalies, and misconfigurations, with a focus on automation and signal quality
Perform hands-on investigation, triage, and containment of incidents across cloud, endpoint, and application layers, leveraging threat intelligence and forensic techniques
Build scripts, pipelines, and integrations (e.g., Python, APIs) to automate repetitive security tasks, improve alert response, and enable scalable security operations
Conduct deep-dive technical security reviews of cloud architectures, applications, and third-party integrations; identify vulnerabilities and recommend pragmatic remediation actions
Identify gaps in configuration, access controls, and model/data security; implement improvements aligned to industry frameworks and internal standards
Stay current with evolving cloud threats, AI security risks (e.g., model abuse, prompt injection, data leakage), and proactively apply learnings to strengthen controls.

About you

You're curious, analytical and passionate about technology and cybersecurity. You enjoy solving problems, learning new skills and working with others to improve security outcomes.

Most importantly, you're someone who wants to build a career in cybersecurity and is excited by the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of security disciplines in a supportive environment.

You'll bring:
Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or AWS environment
Knowledge of information security technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP, encryption, and endpoint security
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions
Good time management skills; the ability to timebox deliverables to ensure effective implementations
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.
Experience working with AI and automation tools to improve ways of working, streamline processes and support practical business outcomes.

Experience in the financial services sector or regulated environments.
