We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as Security Governance Manager reporting to Senior Manager Security Governance.
A bit about your role
The Security Governance Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting nbn’s security program by delivering coordinated governance across internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Manager Security Governance, the role involves developing and maintaining corporate governance processes, preparing executive-level reporting, and ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities include preparing business insights, presentations and associated documentation for senior stakeholders, translating complex and / or technical security concepts into accessible language, and identifying and maintaining effective performance metrics. The role also supports the implementation of nbn’s Security Strategy, facilitates governance forums, and tracks security actions (i.e. audit, governance forums, etc.).
A bit about you
The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive and intuitive professional with established business acumen and a strong foundation in corporate security governance, strategic planning, and program management. They must be confident engaging with senior stakeholders and capable of writing, assessing and aligning reports for consistency and accuracy.
Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and exceptional communication skills are essential, along with the ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate requires impeccable time management and organisational skills and the agility to prioritise / reprioritise tasks with minimal direction. The role demands proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to adopt AI tools for efficiency. A foundational understanding of security frameworks and industry standards is also required.
