Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to oversee activities within designated zones.
• Enforce rules and regulations to prevent loss or damage to property.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with the public.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A valid security guard license may be required depending on local regulations.
• Courses required Pressure Point Control Tactics, First Aid CPR/AED Level C, Naloxone Training,non crisis intervention, and Whimis training required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.20 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Security Guard Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
