Security Guard- Day Shift

Shift: 7 AM- 7 PM

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Provide General Security

● Control the entry and exit of all Employees, Vendors, Visitors and Contractors

● Greet and escort all visitors, contractors, applicant/new employees to the proper manager

● Escort terminated employees off the property

● Issue and record fuel cards to designated employees (drivers)

● Weigh trucks (as needed)

● Monitor CCTV System

● Operate the switchboard afterhours, weekends and holidays

● Monitor two-way radio traffic and stay in contact with Security Officers outside of the office

● Log all WSTL/KWR Trucks and Trailers into the AS400 system

● Log all Visitors on the Visitor Log

● Report any and all incidents to Supervisor

● Conduct multiple security rounds (check doors, fences, gates, parking lots, buildings) during each shift

● Maintain timesheets for Contractors

● Operate detection devices to screen individuals and prevent unauthorized items

● Perform random searches of vehicles and persons entering and exiting company property

● Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

● Excellent time management skills

● Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments

● Able to work in various work environments (inside/outside)

● Proper use of various equipment and job related tools

● Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, or kneeling

● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

● Ability to pass the company forklift certification (written & hands on)

● Understand and follow all company policies and procedures

● Valid I.D.

● Must pass pre-employment medical and background screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
