Mo te tunga | About the role
The National Organised Crime Group (NOCG) is looking for a high performing and motivated person to join their team as a senior business advisor strategy based in Wellington.
This role will work closely with the Director: NOCG, and the leadership team to manage and contribute to the planning, reporting, projects, strategy, and development for the group.
You will be part of the NOCG Leadership team which provides strategic direction to 240 staff and contributes to maintaining relationships with internal and external agencies and international partners.
NOCG is mandated by central government to detect, investigate, confront, prosecute and disrupt the activities of serious and organised criminals, including those immersed in financial crime. This is achieved through collaboration and co-operation with law enforcement and other agencies situated both nationally and internationally.
The Senior Advisor Business Strategy plays a significant role in providing strategic advice to the leadership team, co-ordinating the staffing and resourcing of the group, and reporting activities relating to performance and activities of the group.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in working in strategic business contexts and/or experience within a central government environment.
- Proven experience in preparing strategic documents and reports for Ministers, Police Executive or external agencies.
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including critical thinking

- Successful applicant must reside in Wellington.

Utu a-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
