- Join the Development Co-ordination Authority (DCA) Technical Advisory team and help make a difference on some of NSW's most significant development projects
- Permanent full-time opportunity
- Parramatta, Newcastle or Wollongong office preferred, though other NSW DPHI Office location will be considered
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $ 133,348 to $146,945

You'll be trusted to provide expert advice on complex projects, work alongside a wide range of government and industry stakeholders and help remove barriers that support better planning outcomes.
You'll tackle complex challenges, interpret technical assessments, work closely with planners, government agencies and industry, and turn complex information into clear recommendations that support better decisions for communities across the state. Along the way, you will collaborate with a supportive team, share your expertise and help improve how we deliver services and advice
- Knowledge of the NSW planning, assessment and approval environments including relevant legislation, policy, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
- Experience in environmental management advisory environments (government, operator, consultancy or equivalent).
- Experience undertaking environmental management advisory assessments across one or more of these areas: noise, air, water or contamination. This will include environmental impact assessments and risk management.
- Experience interpreting and applying environmental control assessment principles, standards and safety obligations into real life scenarios.
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor and provide practical environmental management advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience mentoring and developing others, providing technical guidance and contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team environment.
- Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience e.g., Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Environmental Science or Bachelor of Applied Science.
