As part of SNS, and the Integrated Innovation and Strategy Operations unit, the Corporate Records Management Team provides a full range of advisory, consulting and records center services for effective records management throughout government.

About Our Opportunity

As a Senior Enterprise Records Analyst, you provide strategic advice to advance records management across government, with a strong focus on digital records management. You contribute to the development of enterprise policies, standards, guidance, and tools, and work with departments to strengthen records management practices and support modernization.
A central function of this role is developing practical approaches for managing digital records across enterprise platforms and business systems. This includes providing advice on classification, metadata, retention, disposition, compliance, and other recordkeeping controls needed to manage digital information effectively.
You work closely with departmental staff, IT partners, privacy professionals, and the broader records management community to support change, promote compliance, and improve the consistency and effectiveness of records management services.
This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Records Management.

Primary Accountabilities

As part of the Corporate Records Management team, the Senior Enterprise Records Analyst supports the advancement of enterprise records management and works with departments to strengthen records management programs across government.
  • Develop, update, and maintain enterprise records management policies, standards, guidance, and tools, and provide advice on their implementation across government.
  • Provide advisory and consulting services to departments and agencies to support effective records management practices.
  • Lead or support digital records management initiatives across enterprise platforms and business systems, including the implementation of digital recordkeeping controls and approaches for managing digital records at scale.
  • Develop or contribute to digital records management solutions related to classification, metadata, retention, disposition, compliance, and digital governance.
  • Create practical guidance, tools, training, and awareness materials to support modernization and consistent adoption of records management practices.
  • Conduct reviews, assessments, and analysis to identify risks, support continuous improvement, and strengthen program maturity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance consistent, scalable, and client-focused records management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have graduated from University at the bachelor's level with a minimum of five years related experience in records management, or a master's degree plus three years related experience. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
You must demonstrate considerable knowledge of the theory and practice of records management.
You will also have:
  • Experience providing strategic advice, developing guidance, standards, or tools, leading complex work, and working with multiple stakeholders in a large or multi-partner environment.
  • Strong knowledge of records and information management principles and experience applying them to the management of physical and digital records in operational and enterprise settings.
  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge in digital records management across the information lifecycle, including classification, metadata, retention, disposition, compliance, and the management of digital information in enterprise environments and business systems.
  • Strong communication, sound judgment, diplomacy, and the ability to build effective working relationships across business, policy, and technical partners.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical guidance, support change in a collaborative and client-focused way, and promote consistent adoption of records management practices.
Assets
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Purview capabilities, FileNet, or similar enterprise platforms.

Salary Range: $2,805.63 - $3,410.48 Bi-Weekly
