We are now looking for a Senior IT Expert, Global IT Services to join our UPM Adhesive Materials team. This position is located in Tampere or Helsinki, Finland.

What you will do

• Take on DevOps responsibilities for UPM Adhesive Materials business IT operations, contributing to shared success through close collaboration with colleagues

• Enable, maintain and continuously improve sustainable data solutions and support data integration across systems
• Deliver IT application support and development services for global UPM Adhesive Materials operations in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Provide input for the application lifecycle roadmap from both technology and application platform perspectives
• Collaborate with global experts and suppliers to design, develop, test and enhance applicable systems and processes
• Drive quality improvements proactively in your assigned responsibility areas
• Support and guide stakeholders on relevant business processes, requirement definition and related IT systems
• Create and maintain technical documentation in cooperation with IT Architects, Service Owners, business teams and development partner(s)

Who you are

• You hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Information Systems or an equivalent field and have at least four years of relevant work experience
• You bring experience in application development and are comfortable working with modern development practices
• You have experience with Linux, SQL, or Python; knowledge of Progress OpenEdge or ABL is considered an advantage
• You are familiar with data science and data modeling as well as cloud platforms such as Azure and modern databases like Snowflake
• You bring a data engineering and automation mindset and apply structured problem-solving in your work
• You have a good understanding of manufacturing or supply chain management systems
• You understand DevOps practices, ITIL processes and have experience working with Jenkins
• You are motivated to work in an international environment, communicate fluently in English and demonstrate key behavioral competencies such as collaboration, accountability, creativity, learning mindset and flexibility‑engineering and automation mindset and apply structured problem-solving in your work
