Stepping Stones Residential Care Ltd. is seeking an experienced, motivated and highly competent Senior Manager – Disability Residential Services to join our senior leadership team in the Dublin region.

This is a key operational and governance role within the organisation and would suit an ambitious leader with extensive experience in HIQA regulated services, strong knowledge of safeguarding and human rights-based practice, and a proven ability to support and oversee residential centres to a high standard.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Services and wider senior management team to provide leadership, governance oversight, operational support and regulatory assurance across designated centres. This role requires a confident, solutions-focused professional who can balance regulatory compliance with person- centred service delivery and staff leadership.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will provide direct oversight and support to Persons in Charge and

centre management teams across a portfolio of residential services.

  • Providing strong governance, operational and regulatory oversight across designated centres
  • Supporting and supervising PICs and management teams to achieve and sustain HIQA compliance
  • Conducting audits, service reviews, quality improvement initiatives and unannounced visits
  • Supporting services through HIQA inspections and regulatory engagement
  • Leading on safeguarding oversight, risk management and incident review processes
  • Promoting a culture of human rights, dignity, inclusion and person-centred practice
  • Working collaboratively with HSE representatives, Tusla representatives, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Supporting staffing oversight, performance management, supervision and team development
  • Monitoring action plans, compliance trackers, governance systems and quality improvement plans
  • Assisting with admissions, compatibility reviews, transition planning and placement support where required
  • Escalating risks and governance concerns appropriately to the Director of Services
  • Supporting organisational growth, service development and operational projects as required

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Nursing or other relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years’ management experience within HIQA regulated residential services
  • Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations, standards and inspection processes
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding management and oversight
  • Experience working collaboratively with HSE and Tusla representatives
  • Excellent understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance systems
  • Proven experience conducting audits and driving quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing and supporting multidisciplinary teams and centre management teams
  • Excellent report writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across services

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting services through registration or inspection processes
  • Experience in children’s residential services and/or disability services
  • Knowledge of positive behavioural support and restrictive practice governance
  • Experience in service development and organisational growth
