Join our ambitious Process & Sustainability Innovation team to lead our cutting-edge product development projects. Our Process & Sustainability Innovation team in Søborg functions as an integral part of GEA's global technology hub for powders. Here, we innovate and, create new processes, devices, measurement tools, and machinery for the production and handling of powders products – from catalyst and battery powders to infant formula and instant coffee. As a Senior Project Manager, you will have to understand not only the mechanical/mechatronic solutions, but also the process in which the equipment will operate. This makes product development in GEA challenging and very interesting. Our team enjoys privileged access to state-of-the-art testing facilities, advanced laboratories, and a robust high-performance computing resource.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

You will report to the Director of Process & Sustainability Innovation and work closely with specialists and commercial stakeholders. You will manage and lead the development projects from idea and project initiation to the final prototype test and hand over the fully matured product to the business. To sum up, your tasks will include but not be limited to:

Practice lean but effective project management in a weak matrix organization
Lead, navigate and inspire our specialists
Providing transparency by hosting regular meetings and reporting key figures to our organization
Plan the best ways of executing projects while making sure to utilize our specialists’ resources optimally
Through understanding the technical details in the projects, you will guide the technical decisions in our projects

Your profile and qualifications:

To be a success in this role, we expect you to be creative and innovative in your working style. It is important that you, with a result-oriented approach, can balance theory with practice to develop best in class solutions for our customers. Furthermore, we imagine that you can see tick some of the boxes below:

You hold a B.Sc.,M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree with a strong track record in product development in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Process, Chemical engineering, or a related field.
We are flexible regarding your academic background (given our vast domain from novel process solutions to equipment and electronic device development). As a Senior Project Manager you will have opportunities to engage in many different areas utilizing your specific strengths.
We seek technical brilliance paired with a genuine passion to innovate and introduce new products to the market. A natural curiosity and eagerness to venture into unfamiliar territories is crucial.
We expect you to have technical know-how coupled with Project Management experience. If you have successfully created tangible products, services, or software - we highly value such real-world achievements. If you have a PMI certificate or similar, it will be a plus, but it is not a requirement.
