Climate Engineering Companies, operating as Carrier Transcold of SNE and Northway Services, is a leading heavy-duty truck and trailer repair company with multiple locations. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic team in Cheshire, CT. This role is crucial to our Service Department, working closely with the Service Manager and Service Technicians to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices. Our company offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and development, making it an ideal place for individuals looking to advance their careers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Service Managers and Service Technicians to process daily paperwork efficiently.
- Engage directly with customers to gather information about their equipment and update them on repair status.
- Adhere to the Service Process to ensure accuracy and timely processing of orders.
- Process payments for COD customers using various payment methods.
- Enter Service Orders into the system daily and manage all open and completed orders.
- Provide backup and support for Service Writers at other locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong phone communication skills, maintaining professionalism in stressful situations.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Customer service experience is essential.
- Effective time management skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
