DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Perform tooling changeovers on staking, manual and automated assembly, Bosch transfer and CNC lines.
Complete setup documentation and setup logs and verify before signing off.
Ensure set up and process standard documentation, gauges are returned to designated places.
Make adjustments to setups as required by tool, part, or quality factors and complete proper setup documentation.
Verifies that setups have been adjusted to target specifications by measurement of specified part/process characteristics, perform first offs and enters data into SPC software in Quality Department and obtain approval to produce parts.
Check that equipment and tooling is in good operating condition during changeover and inform the tooling maintenance technician of any issues with the tooling.
Coordinate with production shift supervisor to obtain change over priorities and work with the team to achieve set up deadlines.
Comply with legislative requirements including the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Ensure TS16949 and ISO 14001 compliance.
Ensure 5S/housekeeping of workplace and set up area.

QUALIFCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have 3 years’ experience in die setting or set up environment or equivalent mechanical background/aptitude.
Must have some experience with progressive die or stamping die settings
Must have a high school certificate with some formal mechanical training.
Must have knowledge of measuring tools, such as vernier, micrometer, height gauge and torque wrench.
Must be able to demonstrate proper use of hand tools.
Must have good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to work rotating shifts.
Must be able to work overtime required.
