Sh – Broker Relationship Manager-Mississippi
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join our team as the Broker Relationship Manager for Mississippi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing resources to achieve sales growth, improve results, and meet operational goals within the assigned market. You will also coordinate sales efforts and strategies on a national level.
You will be a great match for this role if you have experience in Medicare sales, are a highly motivated self-starter, and can demonstrate an ability to develop relationships with brokers and agents. This role is based in Mississippi, with travel being required 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
Job Responsibilities
  • Development of new lead generation strategies and participate in planning campaigns to ensure maximum lead capture and sales. Provide relevant competitor information necessary to support all product and system rollouts.
  • Utilize segmentation and industry research to uncover market opportunities, analyzing and interpreting the competitive and regulatory environment.
  • Provide necessary training and coaching for sales staff.
  • Responsible for the set-up of our First Look Product meetings as needed throughout assigned market.
  • Develop external market engagement and sales strategy in coordination with sales team leadership, local markets, Broker Relationship Account Executives, and other sales support staff.
  • Work closely with other business units and Broker relation managers to support national and regional Partners to ensure this is a consistent sales agent experience in all markets.
  • Partner with local faith-based organizations, community health groups and local business partners to create and set up educational sales events weekly for external brokers.
  • Attract new agencies and brokerage firms to contract with our plan; increase the number of ready to sell agents in assigned market.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years management and sales experience required; experience in Medicare sales preferred.
  • The incumbent must demonstrate through real life experience the ability to support expansion of the direct to consumer Medicare sales area.
Skills/Certifications
  • Active Health and/or Life Insurance licenses or ability to acquire within 180 days per applicable state guidelines.
  • You must be able to complete and pass the AHIP certification or BCBST internal Pinpoint Medicare Certification within 180 days of your hire date.
  • Strong attention to detail required to manage Medicare sales compliance activities,
  • Excellent time management skills,
  • Strong analytical abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills,
  • Must have the ability to management multiple tasks within assigned deadlines.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Ability to develop relationships with broker/agents within MS.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of corporate policies and procedures
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must reside in MS
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must have the ability to use a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office to log into our ARUBA portal.
Schedule: This position could require approximately 75% or more travel with some overnight stays Scheduled Weekly Hours 40
