Position: Sheet Metal Journeyman
Location: Kamloops
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

IPH is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our Kamloops team. The successful candidate will work on commercial, and industrial projects, fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining sheet metal systems such as HVAC ductwork, venting and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ducting, fittings, and related HVAC systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized sheet metal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform layout, measure, cut, and weld sheet metal materials to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and project specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with the applicable regulations and codes.
• Collaborate with other trades on-site to complete projects on time.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair existing sheet metal and ventilation systems.
• Perform testing, balancing, and adjustments to ensure systems function efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
• Follow company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and hazard awareness.
• Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker Certification (required).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the trade, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, duct installation, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit to perform the demands of the job (lifting, bending, working at heights, etc.).

Pay: From $39.14 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
