Full Time position - Monday to Friday (7:00am – 3:30pm)
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving
This position is responsible for performing shipping and receiving tasks, as well as supporting other departments with general labour duties when shipping work is complete. The position involves light-duty work under favourable conditions and requires a clear understanding of assigned responsibilities.
Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:
- Assists with loading/unloading materials
- Unpack shipments, verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents according to established procedures
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment
- Make necessary verification against documents while preparing and pulling stock or shipping to different locations
- Access emails from sales personnel regarding customer orders that have to be filled
- Access company’s internal software in order to print customer orders and keep track of new orders
- Small parts production
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Participates in taking and stocking inventory. Maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves.
- Operate Lift Truck to load/unload shipments
- Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments
- Lifting, handling and preparing shipping materials
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mechanically inclined
- Previous forklift experience a great asset
- Able to follow verbal and written instruction
- Able to read a standard tape measure
- Able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches etc.
- High level of organizational skills & abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work
- Flexibility to assist in various departments as needed
- Independent & self motivated

Pay: $18.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
