Westerman, an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk are loading and unloading units, wrapping ship loose, coordinating with shipping coordinator on documentation, and communicating potential supply problems to supervisor to minimize production impacts. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic and communication skills to ensure all needs are met. This is a safety sensitive position.

SHIPPING CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

• Ship prep units prior to shipping out, including wrapping, securing piping, etc.
• Load units onto trucks with overhead cranes.
• Coordinate with the shipping coordinator regarding ship loose items that need to be palletized, banded, and/or wrapped. Verify documentation that all parts are on the pallet.
• Operate forklift on a daily basis.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1 year previous forklift and/or material handling experience required.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience a plus.
• Basic reading skills required.
• Strong verbal communication skills required.
• Required safety training as provided by the company (forklift, overhead crane, etc.).
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Demonstrated history of excellent attendance required.

• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift.
• Must be able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds.

SHIPPING CLERK SCHEDULE

• Monday – Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Day Shift

SALARY

• Starting at $18/hour – depends on experience

• Located in the Port of Catoosa at 5215 Arkansas Road Catoosa, Oklahoma 74015
