About US: General Plumbing Supply is one of the largest independent wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, cooling and industrial products in the Northeast. With 24 locations and 14 showrooms showcasing decorative kitchen and bath products, GPS is a growing company with an active environment for employees and customers. GPS was started in 1910 and remains under family-ownership.
As a Showroom Sales Associate in our Bayonne, NJ showroom, you will:
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell products to new and existing customers
- Providing showroom tours
- Manage a job from start to finish. Including measuring, designing, selling and ordering.
- Manage your own projects
- Strive to hit agreed upon sales targets
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
- Create sales material to present to customers
- Keeping up with industry trends and products
Requirements:
- Need to have a strong sales focus with ability to grasp computer systems and product knowledge quickly
- Highly personable, skilled at interacting with clients and prospects at a variety of knowledge and comfort levels
- Ability to handle fast-paced and changing environment
- Previous bathroom/lighting/cabinetry design experience
- Availability to work 5 days a week including Saturday (one day off M-F, Sundays)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
