We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will support various operations by assisting in the assembly and fabrication of products, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations within the shop environment, contributing to overall productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly of products in the shop, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication tasks.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and improve processes.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and tools.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to manufacturing processes.

Experience

• CAN READ A TAPE MEASURE
• Metal work and electrical wiring experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Experience working on an assembly line or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
