About Us
The Catsbah is a home-based kitten rescue run by a disabled Marine Corps veteran, dedicated to saving, fostering, and rehoming cats and kittens in need. Our rescue has grown from a mission to the local feral population into a vibrant online community, known for adorable kitten content, heartwarming rescue stories, and a dash of cat-inspired humor.

The Role
We’re looking for a creative, organized, and cat-loving Social Media Assistant to help us expand our reach, engage our followers, and find forever homes for our fosters. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who loves storytelling, understands social media trends, and can turn a sleepy kitten photo into an adoption-worthy moment.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating, scheduling, and posting content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Reddit.

Help maintain a consistent brand voice that’s equal parts compassionate, quirky, and community-focused.

Edit and enhance photos/videos for maximum cuteness impact.

Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help build relationships with followers.

Brainstorm campaigns for adoptions, fundraising, and awareness.

Track metrics and report on content performance.

Requirements

Proven experience managing social media accounts (personal, volunteer, or professional).

Strong written communication skills and comfort with playful, engaging copy.

Photo/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, or similar).

Familiarity with cat rescue or animal welfare a plus.

Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with streaming platforms like Twitch

Web development experience.

Experience with crowdfunding, nonprofit fundraising, or adoption promotion.

Comfort using social media scheduling tools.

Ability to create memes, reels, and short-form videos that resonate with animal lovers.
