SafetyWing (YC W18) is seeking a Social Media Content Intern to join us for Summer 2025.

At SafetyWing, we’re building a global social safety net for remote workers—simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. Our mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone. If we succeed, we believe this will be one of the most important tasks of our time.

‍ About this role

As a Social Media Content Intern, you’ll help drive the growth of SafetyWing’s presence on platforms like YouTube and Instagram by supporting our in-house video production efforts. Your work will focus on creating tools and templates for short-form content, optimizing for SEO, leveraging AI editing tools, and exploring new opportunities such as TikTok and original video series.

Building editing templates for Shorts, Reels, and other mobile-first content (hooks, captions, transitions), with an emphasis on experimenting with short-form hooks and trends
Editing and publishing short-form clips from Nomad Chats and other brand series
Optimizing YouTube SEO (titles, descriptions, tags, playlists) to enhance discoverability
Using AI tools to streamline and accelerate editing workflows
Exploring TikTok as a potential growth channel (content fit, audience opportunities), if aligned with interest and team priorities
Proposing a new short-form content series idea aligned with our brand for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok

We are looking for someone who

Is committed to dedicating 3 months to this internship, full time, with an anticipated start date of June 2, 2025.
Is entrepreneurial and self-driven
Has a basic understanding of social media marketing; majoring in marketing or a similar field is a plus but not required

Want to help build a global social safety net on the Internet
Think for themselves instead of copying others
Are willing to try new things, even with the risk of failure
Are intellectually curious and open to new ideas
Are creative and bold in the face of any problems
Have strong integrity and do the right thing
