Position: Social Media Marketing Assistant (Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are looking for a creative, driven, and organized individual to join our team and assist in managing our social media and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation, video editing, and social media trends, along with a passion for creative marketing. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home, with occasional on-site requirements for content shoots. You will work under the Marketing Manager, who will provide guidance and support in launching ad campaigns and optimizing marketing strategies. This position is perfect for someone looking to elevate their skills and grow in the social media marketing space.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Canva
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects).
  • Advanced or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in shooting and editing video content for social media.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in content creation, and/or digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite for ad management and insights.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in content creation and social media algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling and original content for all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Manage the posting and scheduling of pre-made content.
  • Assist with marketing materials such as banners, posters, and promotional creatives.
  • Collaborate on the launch and optimization of social media ads.
  • Provide insights and analytics reports to monitor and improve performance.
  • Handle occasional email marketing and respond to direct messages (DMs) as needed.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in web development or graphic design.
  • Previous work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Some level of SEO proficiency
  • Strong communication, multitasking, time & task management, skills.
  • Highly self-organized, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously without supervision.

Job Type: Hybrid

Flexible Language Requirement: Proficient in English (Russian and French are an advantage)

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Work Location: 45 Tigi Court, Vaughan, ON, L4K 5E4 (Global Trade & Distribution Inc.)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
