Description:
As a skilled Software Development Lead you will test, code, and maintain software applications and systems. This role involves managing a team to troubleshoot and optimise database performance using programming languages and other tools, enhancing software, and supporting improvements to augment user experience and functionality.
Leading a small team, you will share your technical ‘know-how’ with your team, managing them to complete software development tasks, testing for improvements and delivering quality enhancements.
Skills and Experiences:
Key Skills and Experience:
Experienced and highly Proficient in Github, Python, Django, and React
Experienced with Jira, and a strong knowledge of REST API design, backend integration and data-driven applications
Experienced in containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes in a Google Cloud Platform environment
A background in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
Solid understanding of UX principles, wireframing best practices and user-centred design
You will be able to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable tasks and find efficient solutions
Previous experience leading a team of other developers and designers
It goes without saying that you will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Active involvement in open source initiatives would be well regarded
