Software Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate mobile and web applications functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure robust testing coverage and product reliability.
• Identify and document defects, resolve them, and provide comprehensive reports on testing progress and quality metrics.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates or enhancements.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential usability issues that predefined test cases may not cover.
• Validate API integrations by creating and running test scenarios to verify data flow between mobile/web applications and backend services.
• Monitor and analyze user feedback and application crash reports to identify trends and prioritize fixes.
• Ensure testing environments are properly configured and maintained for efficient testing, including setting up emulators, simulators, and physical devices as needed.
• Participate in release planning meetings to provide QA input and ensure app launch or update readiness.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure deliverables meet expected quality standards.
• Contribute to improving the testability and maintainability of our applications by working closely with developers during feature design and implementation.
• Advocate for quality by participating in product discussions and providing insights on testing strategies during feature development.
• Continuously research and implement new QA tools and best practices to enhance our testing framework and processes.

Minumum Qualifications

• It is important to have experience implementing QA testing for iOS, Android, and web applications and an understanding of software quality assurance methods.
• Proficiency in creating comprehensive test plans and scenarios explicitly tailored to mobile applications.
• Familiarity with iOS and android and web development tools, debugging techniques, and performance analysis.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages like Swift or Python is a huge plus.
• Experience running test automation on mobile test farms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, or similar) is beneficial.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to share findings and work with teams.
