Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver precise technical drawings for solar PV systems, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and commercial installations.
• Interpret data from site surveys and translate it into accurate design plans.
• Prepare drawings, bill of materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for projects.
• Ensure designs comply with Irish and EU standards, building regulations, and grid connection requirements.
• Work closely with the sales team, project managers and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Stay updated on the latest design software, tools, and industry trends to enhance project quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 2 years+ experience in a design engineering role.
• Previous experience with design software such as AutoCAD.
• Prior experience using Solar PV designing tools such as Helioscope, PVSyst, PVSol, HOMER, etc is desired.
• Ability to produce accurate and detailed technical documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address design challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and adapt to varying project requirements.
