About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced PV Electrician to join our clients growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites across Ireland.

You will play a key role in ensuring all electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and commission solar PV systems in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Carry out electrical wiring, connections, and fault finding on PV systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Accurately complete installation reports, test sheets, and other documentation.
  • Liaise with customers and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified electrician with recognised Irish electrical qualifications (e.g., QQI Level 6, or equivalent).
  • Experience in solar PV installation and/or renewable energy systems preferred.
  • Valid Safe Electric registration or eligibility to obtain same.
  • Sound understanding of current Irish electrical regulations (ET101) and industry best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence (essential).
  • Flexibility to travel and work on various sites nationwide.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with battery storage systems or EV charger installations.
  • Knowledge of inverters and system monitoring platforms.
  • Working at Heights and Manual Handling certification.
