We are searching for an enthusiastic sports coach with an interest in youth development for our Sports Club in Gorey, Co. Wexford.

Bar Monkey Calisthenics is expanding. We currently have two locations in Ballybrack, Co. Dublin, and Gorey, Co. Wexford which currently have over four hundred members operating in a variety of different programmes six days per week. Highly energetic and enthusiastic coaches are required.

The role advertised is for 20-24 hours per week.

Classes take place from 2:30pm -6:30pm Monday - Friday, as well as 9-12 on Saturdays, with additional hours available for different programmes.

Calisthenics is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and with the backing of LSPs across the country, we are seeing a huge shift in developing facilities to increase participation in our sport.

We are looking for new coaches with an interest in helping to grow and develop our sport.

Coaches interested in applying should have:

• Good communication skills and capable of interacting with young people.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a group.
• Ability to communicate to parents
• Work as part of a coaching team

Training in coaching our sport is provided, and you will gain REPS Accredited qualifications through the Irish Calisthenics Institution if successful in your application.

Skills you have developed through experience in other sports are welcomed and will be highly transferable to our sport. We welcome previous sporting backgrounds.

Plus Backgrounds:

- Previous experience in Calisthenics, participating or coaching.

- Teaching or coaching experience in alternative individual sports such as gymnastics, parkour, dance, martial arts will provide the candidate with an advantage as they are similar to our sport.

- Experience working with young people.

There is a mix of age categories and abilities, with classes ranging from recreation to competition. We have classes for kids as young as four right through to adults.
