Working closely with the Program Managers, Support Staff and the Executive Director, the Staff Supervisor will ensure the integrity of programs provided by the Canadian Mental Health Association, Colchester East Hants Branch with a specific focus on the Community Outreach and Living Programs. They will ensure client-centered, trauma informed approaches that are supported and facilitated by all staff members. They will ensure that the activities and supports provided are consistent with any agreements or contracts, and within the mandate of the organization. In the event of a staffing shift shortage, where the staffing ratio is below contractual or policy requirements, the Staff Supervisor will be required to step in. They will be the emergency first point of contact.

The successful applicant will have graduated from a post secondary institution with a focus/Degree in Management and Human Resources. They will have ten plus years of supervisory experience, or five years plus related experience and training as the acceptable equivalent . The Staff Supervisor will display a high level of professionalism and a working knowledge of all applicable laws and acts such as the NS Labor Standards Act, NS OH & S, and the NS Human Rights Act.

They will be extremely organized and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence, working with minimal supervision.

Working out of Truro, Nova Scotia, this position is for 40 hours per week. Except in the event of emergencies and severe staff shortages, the hours of work can be expected to be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
