About the role

We are looking for Mine Production Superintendent to join our team at Brockman 4 Operations. You’ll be an inspiring role model who has a passion for promoting positive safety and people culture through visible and tangible leadership.

You’ll be part of a passionate and friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the wider team. Your work roster will be 9 days on, 5 days off, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

This role will lead, mentor, coach and develop the Production team, including providing regular performance feedback. Provide leadership in safely executing Load, Haul & Development activities at a site level, ensuring team performance is in line with short to medium term objectives.


Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will:

  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to the mine operation teams

  • Ensure day-to-day management of all open pit production operations including planning activities for the site

  • Have demonstrated capability in coaching, leading change and effective decision making

  • Drive a strong safety culture which ensures adherence to procedures for operational activities, site standards and legislation.

  • Have a passion for leading, organising, developing and motivating your teams, while building meaningful succession pathways

  • Developing and implementing key productivity improvements to drive operational efficiency

  • Working collaboratively and fostering relationships with key partners to achieve wider business objectives

  • Measuring, recording, analysing and reporting on safety, people and productivity activities to consistently exceed plan and improve performance

What you’ll bring

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • A strong background in safety and people leadership roles

  • Demonstrated capability in coaching, leading change and effective decision making

  • A Quarry Managers certificate or in process of attaining it

  • Experienced in contributing to the development of a safety culture and ensuring relevant safety compliance as well as adherence to standards, processes and procedures for drill and blast operations

  • Coaching, leading change, effective decision making

  • Collaboratively enable SPCT ( Safe Production Centric Team) effectiveness to safely optimise productivity, build organizational excellence, capability and improvement

  • Demonstrate understanding of budget preparation, variance analysis, cost forecasting and cost drivers

  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)

  • Work Health and Safety (WHS) Site Senior Executive qualification highly advantageous

Where you’ll be working

Brockman 4 is located on the lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura and Muntulgura Guruma people, 60 kilometres northwest of Tom Price, commencing operations in 2010. There are approximately 860 full time employees that commute on a family friendly roster from Perth, Geraldton, Albany and Busselton.
