Position Overview:
We are seeking caring, dependable, and culturally aware Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will support youth (ages 16–18) by helping them build life skills, strengthen their wellness, and stay connected to culture, community, and identity.

The ideal candidate understands trauma-informed care, respects lived experiences, and is committed to walking alongside youth in a good way.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support and mentorship to youth in our independent living home
• Assist with life skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and maintaining daily routines
• Encourage cultural connections, and engagement with community supports (when youth are open to it)
• Support youth with school, work, volunteering, and appointments
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive space grounded in Indigenous values
• Complete daily documentation and communicate any concerns to management
• Work collaboratively with the Seven Generations Living team

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting youth or working in community-based settings
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural safety
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (preferred)
• Drivers Abstract
• Current First Aid/CPR and clear background checks

Shifts Available:

• Days, Evenings, weekends, and overnights

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
